Have you heard the song “Enjoy Yourself”? I hadn’t until today. At first, I go, “enjoy myself?” That’s not possible. Then I get into the lyrics…”Life is going by so fast, and it is later than we think!”
This song is a beacon of direction to what we need in our lives, and that we can live AND have fun while doing it.
For me, embarking on the journey of equine assisted learning has been all about enjoying myself, but I’ve been a little shaky because I’ve still been holding on to control, and dancing and enjoying oneself is not about “control”. It’s about letting go.
The song talks about “Get wisdom, knowledge and understanding
These three, were given free by the maker
Go to school, learn the rules,….” and I have….AND this song has reminded me that I can have the knowledge and still enjoy myself while using it!
This song is so right! It is later than we think. It is time to start living. Right now!
What’s fascinating is that horses already know this. We humans are the ones who are late to the game. So at LEAD THE WAY EQUINE LEARNING, we are going to keep growing and enjoying, as well as open the space for the horses to lead the way.
